Lets Gossip About Sports

Both man and woman gossip about sports

Both men and women gossip about sports

One of the biggest myths around is that women love to gossip and not men. Yet gossip seems to take center court over and over again in the world of sports.

Why? Simple it sells! And not just to the women fans but all fans across all ages!

Why does the stories surrounding A-Rod capture the front page of the news over and over again, does anyone really care who he suing today or will be suing tomorrow or that the MLB players Union wants him gone or that the Yankees, themselves want him gone as well? Apparently yes!

Let’s not forget there is also the fact that ‘bad news’ sells. If you watch or listen to Sports Central, or ESPN the headlines are usually reserved for the ‘bad guys first. Who trashed talk who takes up more TV time than who actually won the game. First comes the ‘trash talk’ and the comments from every sports commentator that can be found, then of course the time allotted to the ‘I’m Sorry’ campaign by the trash talker himself.

Now you add the time for the rebuttal by the fans of the team that the trash talker plays on that were interview and you have an awful large amount of time spend on ‘bad news’

Even more time than was spend showing the highlights of the game. I personally get a little frustrated with this. I would love the ‘sports world’ to spend more time with showing the positive aspects of sports, but then again, apparently that isn’t what gains views/fans.

Premature ejaculation treatment in pfizer viagra discount delhi is not done frequently. Vacuum pump treatments and cialis online pharmacy medical caverject are some of the physical examination, laboratory investigations, and personal interaction may be required to conclude. How about the Jets quarterback, Geno Smith, in his rookie season he threw 12 touchdowns, 21 interceptions and even got himself benched, he isn’t even a blimp on the radar until he gets kickoff a plane.

Another example of this phenomena shows up again when a book is written by someone in the sports world and although the book has probably many sport stories in it, the one that gets noticed by ‘Sports TV’ is the negative ones.

Example of this is when Former prominent NFL agent Leigh Steinberg wrote in a book released Tuesday that he advised quarterback Ryan Leaf not to attend a meeting with the Indianapolis Colts, who would then select Peyton Manning instead with the top overall pick in the 1998.

Steinberg: Leaf duped Colts out of drafting him in ’98

Like I said, only the fact that someone might have done something ‘bad’ to some else, did the fact the Mr. Steinberg even got his book mentioned on TV.

And even then the world of sports didn’t stop with just mentioning the book; they have actually taking time to track down the persons involved for their side of the story to air on TV.

All this makes for good drama TV and slowly and completely taking over our sports world. We care more about what players do off the field of battle. What drugs they might have taken, who they are dating, or who’s getting a divorce. The average sports fan is still obsessed with any and all news that hits the airwaves concerning Aaron Hernandez, it doesn’t even matter that he is in jail and no longer playing football for the New England Patriots.

It’s tough to explain to a small child who is just starting to show an interest in sports, that there is more to sports than the above, that there are still players out there that play for the sheer joy of being able to play. There are still players out there that are good but never make the headlines, they play by all the rules, even the ‘golden’ rules.
