Super Bowl 53
Super Bowl 53, Top AFC ( American Football Conference ) Team verses the NFC (National Football Conference) top team
Here a little history of the Super Bowl
This year’s Super Bowl
will be played February 3, and in the city of Atlanta at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is almost a brand-new facility that just happens to feature a giant glass wall, and while weather again will not be a factor in an indoor stadium for the Super Bowl , attendees will appreciate warmer temperatures outside the venue.
Super Bowl LIII will mark the third time Atlanta has hosted the game. The previous two (1994 and 2000) took place in the Georgia Dome.
CBS will be the station that will show the Super Bowl L111 (53), on your television set, and you can stream on ‘CBS All Access’
Every Super Bowl since 2003 has taken place during the first week of February. From 1967-2003, all but one Super Bowl took place in January. This was due to the expansion that took place in 2002 when the NFL expanded to 32 teams.
Now we all know that the Super Bowl parties have become as important or even more important than the actual game. No matter where you look, there is something on sale that revolves around watching the game with friends.
If you have been waiting for a good deal on a new TV set, this is it, this is the time to get out there and buy one. Every store that sells TV’s has the ‘perfect one on sale just in time to watch the Super Bowl, including Walmart and Target.
And let’s not forget the food and drink, every grocery store in America has something on ‘special’ that they are offering to make your gathering special.
The Super Bowl is not about the game itself anymore, but about a real good reason to get together with friends and family. A simple party really, no presents to buy, no piñatas, just a whole lot of food and drink to celebrate nothing more than a game of football.
It doesn’t even matter to most sports fans who is actually playing that day, of course, it’s an added bonus if your team is one of the two teams actually playing that day, but if your team didn’t make it this year, it’s not going to stop you from watching the game.
9 reasons to go to a Super Bowl Party even if you don’t care who’s playing
The first official ‘Super Bowl’ was played in 1967 when the Green bay Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs. It was such a brand-new concept that the game didn’t even sell out.
History of Super Bowl
The game was played January 15, at the LA Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles.
And because the game was played here in California there was a TV blackout in the Los Angeles area, as per the NFL, yet the game still did not sell out.
This year it will be ‘Super Bowl 53’ and the game has definitely taken on a life of its own. The day the Super Bowl is played is been considered by most as an unofficial American National Holiday, affectionately called ‘Super Bowl Sunday’.
It is the second-largest day in the US for eating, of course, Thanksgiving being number one.
It has also become the most watched American TV broadcast of the year. The TV audience has grown over the years to over 114 million viewers. That’s a whole lot of people getting together just to celebrate a game and eat a whole lot of food
Good luck to what teams makes it into the Super Bowl this year and if your team didn’t make it this year, there is always next year.
