Unfortunately for several players and coaches, January is not just for playoffs and Bowl Games; it also means a chance to become unemployed or at least forced to look for another team.

There are several NFL teams that didn’t even come close to meeting their expectations. The Cleveland Browns for one, another being the Jacksonville Jaguars and let’s not forget the San Francisco 49’s. These teams were a whole lot better on paper than what actually showed up on the field of battle.
However, the biggest flop is the Los Angeles Rams. This was the hottest ticket on the planet with their season tickets being sold out in just a few hours after hitting the market.

It was due to the really bad game between the LA Rams and the Atlantic Falcons played on Sunday December 11 that was the final straw for the owner of the Rams. In order for the owner to save whatever is left of the team and fan support, drastic measures had to be taken and that meant the coach Jeff Fisher was fired.

It is not just the NFL that will be moving players and coaches around, colleges will also be playing musical chairs with their coaches. Fortunately for most players they are tried in to the college with their scholarships and cannot easily be moved around from school to school.
Several colleges have already changed, fired, let go, what you want to call it.

There are also several coaches that the fans would love to see ‘gone’. The first of these coaches that fans are insisting on being replaced is the UCLA’s coach. UCLA’s season was not even close to what is expected from the talent that they had. Their season was so bad, that they didn’t even make an invite to a bowl.
Over the next several weeks, more and more coaches and players will find themselves on new teams or forced into early retirements only time will tell, as sports fans we hope for the best, but prepare for the worse.
