NFL Playoffs For 2020
It’s Time for the NFL playoffs for 2020, Pro Football Playoffs.
Eventually ending with the one and only ‘Super Bowl’. The best team from the AFC (American Football Conference) playing the best team of the NFC (National Football Conference) for the title.
This year the NFL playoff begins on Saturday, January 4, 2020, with the AFC Wild-Card games.
The NFL playoff for 2020 will began with the AFC teams that actually made it to the ‘wildcard’ are the Buffalo Bills vs the Houston Texans.
The second AFC Wild-Card game will also be played on January 4, and it will be the
Tennessee Titans vs the New England Patriots.
The NFC ‘wild-card’ games will be January 5, 2020, with the first game being the Minnesota Vikings playing the New Orleans Saints.
The second game will be the Seattle Seahawks playing
the Philadelphia Eagles.
I was hoping to see a repeat of the LA Rams going to the Super Bowl, but apparently they didn’t
even make it to the playoffs this year, nor did the LA Charges.
In fact, there were a whole lot of teams on the losing end this season, for whatever reason, they just couldn’t get it all together.
There was at least 16 teams that weren’t even at 500, in other words, they lost more than half
their games played. (And the NFL wonders why popularity in football is dropping)
It makes you think, is this the results of bad coaching, along with the referees not understanding
the new football ‘guidelines’?
I mean, do they even know what pass interference is anymore, or what constitutes holding or roughing the passer?
I also had a hard time understanding the 10-second runoff on the clock within the two minute
warning.
I was led to believe the run-off would occur if the team with the ball had an injury or
a penalty that would cause a delay in the game, so sort an ‘unauthorized timeout’.
However, this season I saw that within the last 2 minute of the game a 10-second runoff was applied several times when the ‘booth’ called for a review of the last scoring play.
It didn’t matter that neither team actually called for the booth review, and it was automatically called by the booth itself or the referees on the field, the 10-second runoff was done.
No explanation that I am aware of has ever been given to the home viewers as to why this applied, and in other cases it didn’t.
I mean, I like to know. That 10-second runoff did make a different in a few games.
The NFL playoffs for 2020 continues January 11 and January 12 with the winners of the AFC wild card
games playing the divisional winners of the AFC.
The winners of the NFC wild card games will play the divisional winners of the NFC.
The last round of the playoffs before the Super Bowl will be played on January 19 with the two
winners of the AFC games playing each other for the right to move onto the Super Bowl.
Also being played with be the two winners of the NFC games to battle it out to see who moves
onto Super Bowl 54
Super Bowl LIV, the Super Bowl LIV and the 50th modern-era National Football League (NFL)
championship game will decide the league champion for the league’s 2019 and 100th season.
The game is scheduled to be played on February 2, 2020, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, marking the seventh different decade for the Super Bowl For a whole lot of people.
The half-time show is almost as important as the game itself and this year’s promises to be a ‘Show Stopper” with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s as the Super Bowl Half-Time Show.
Over the years, the Super Bowl has become so much more than just a football game. Friends and family members gather together to watch the Super Bowl, However, it is also a great time just to celebrate the year new.
Eating and drinking are on the top of the list of what to do while watching.
Would it surprise to find out that the number one food item at Super Bowl parties is guacamole with chips. More Avocados are eating on this day than any other day in the year.
February 2 is also Groundhog Day, so not only will we be watching the Super Bowl game, but the morning of February 2, Punxsutawney Phi will make his appearance and predict how long winter will last.
Hopefully you will be will friends and family come February 2, enjoying a whole lot of good food and good company.
