The general baseball season has ended and now Who In and Who out of this year playoffs

This year’s baseball season draws to and end, the playoff match ups held a few surprises. However, it did manager to disappoint a whole lot of Angel fans. (And Yankee fans as well). We will just have to continue to wait for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim vs the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.

It seems that ‘money’ can’t buy everything. The Owners of the Dodgers have spend a whole lot of ‘cash’
trying to buy a visit to the World Series and another championship ring.

Just ask the Yankees, they haven’t made it to the World Series either, even with having the second largest total salaries being paid out to players. The Dodgers are now in first place for the highest salaries being paid to players.

The Dodger have two really good pitchers in Kershaw and Grienke, and a couple of decent pitchers with Anderson and Wood, but no matter how good the pitchers are, if the bats are quiet, I mean dead quiet, the Dodgers are going to lose.

With the Dodgers, a pitcher should be able to make a bad pitch now and then and not lose the game because of it. The offense should be able to score at least once in a while and put a couple of runs on the board to give their pitcher a little breathing room. It’s hard to watch a game that the Dodgers lose when the score was one to nothing! Ouch !

When will team owners learn, it takes more than a bunch of over- priced, over the hill players to make a team. You also need a really good manager and personally I don’t think the one we have is qualified to work with all the prima-donnas the Dodgers have!

Oh well, like I said money doesn’t buy wins. Yes, the dodgers won their division, but they closest rival was the Giants and even with all their injuries, they still gave the dodgers a hard time.

As I mentioned, at least this year’s playoff games had several surprises, with unexpected team making it into the playoffs. These were teams that weren’t even on the radar for most sports fans. Take The Toronto Blue Jays, or the Houston Astros or even the New York Mets.

The last time the Toronto Blue Jays were in the Playoffs was when Joe Carter’s home run sailed over the wall to win the 1993 World Series for Toronto.

There were also several teams that were favored to make it, but failed, take the Washington Nationals. Their season went downhill quickly and everyone was wondering if the manager would still have his job next year and he doesn’t. Someone had to take the fall, and usually it’s the manager.

Well with the end of Baseball season for 2015 right around the corner, (although Spring Training is only few months away ) it will seem like forever for us die-hard fans.

Actually Spring training will officially begin mid-February 2016.

However, if you are like me, and divide your time between Football and Baseball, it works out perfectly. Just as the NFL season is drawing to a close and everyone is trying to recover from all the hype of ‘The Super Bowl’ its once again baseball season.
